Crowne Plaza Melbourne

Because it is a new hotel I’d never been to, because the palette of the room is so pretty (browns and creams and grays), because there’s a helipad across the street from it over the water, because they have a bowl of m&ms at reception, because there’s a casino next door, because they have real milk for your coffee instead of powdered crap.

Loved this hotel. See you Friday night.

Crowne

Went out to the stand-up comedy show (The Laughing Factory) last night at the Crowne Plaza. It kind of half-sucked (tee he he), not sure where they pluck their talent from..? All Brits, by the way! The shows in Sydney are better by far. It was a great night anyway though, I went with the Australian banker/rugby guy I met on my last flight over to Australia. Total goofball 🙂 I met an air traffic control guy as well, from South Africa, (and another from California)! And they have my beer at Heroes! Too bad I’m not interested in either in that way, only because hey, it’d be nice to get a bit of ah, flavour. I don’t seem to be able to get any sex in my city this year, only in.. well, Dubai and Sydney. Certainly leaves a lot to be desired..

World is getting a bit brighter, figuratively speaking. My blessed laptop is back safe and sound from the whiz Indian guys, was something to with the motherboard. My eye feels like it’s better than yesterday. Trying to work up the ability to go wait again at the hospital, or look up the lesser ghetto-y ones.

And, someone from management called me, I think they’re going to organize for me to do some ground duty to replace the medical leave. By ground duty, I mean at NOC handing out new manuals to crew (!), so – nothing I couldn’t handle – haha!!
